Adjustment Specialist

HCR ManorCare provides a range of services, including skilled nursing care, assisted living, post-acute medical and rehabilitation care, hospice care, home health care and rehabilitation therapy.

Primary job function is to process adjustments/corrections to bills in the billing software. These may be in the form of charge adjustments to correct date of service, facility, time, unit charges, plans, physicians, diagnosis, and units of service. Other adjustments will include posting unapplied monies as directed by Biller/Collector, correction of contractual adjustments, refunds, write offs, and system error corrections. All corrections can be generated by either the Corporate Staff or Office Staff and must be approved by either the Supervisor or Office Administrator.

Educational Requirements

High School plus additional specialized business courses equal to one to three years training accounting or bookkeeping.

Position Requirements

One to three years billing, accounting, or business experience with third party billing experience preferred.
