Circle of Care Program Turns 30!
At HCR ManorCare, we care for people nationwide — not just our patients and residents, but also our dedicated employees. Patient care has always been our priority, which starts with providing our employees with a guide on how we treat our patients and residents with respect and compassion.
For over 30 years, our Circle of Care program has been the core of our caring philosophy. Our program has introduced employees into a culture that promotes helpful, caring, and responsive quality care for all of our patients and residents. This program gives employees the tools to enhance their caregiving skills, prepares them for their day-to-day experiences, and encourages them to succeed both personally and professionally.
There are 3 workshops that are included in the Circle of Care program:
Circle of Care for Employees
- Defines the helpful, caring and responsive service expectations. This program is completed by all employees, usually during general orientation. More than 80 percent of our employees have participated in this program.
Circle of Care for Managers
- Requirement for all supervisors and managers. The program teaches managers how to create and sustain a caring service culture by training, coaching and holding employees accountable. Over 4,000 managers have graduated from the Circle of Care for Managers.
Circle of Care for Leaders
- Designed for all new administrative and clinical leaders, this program serves as part of their job orientation. The leaders are taught how to build and sustain the Circle of Care culture for our patients, residents, and staff.
We want to wish a Happy Anniversary to our Circle of Care program! Thank you to all of our employees for displaying the helpful, caring, and responsive attitudes that make HCR ManorCare’s caring culture so unique.
